Stuart Bell

Stuart Bell works as a lecturer in Art and Design and enjoys sharing knowledge with students within the broader artistic debate.

To be in the presence of Stuart Bell’s work is an invitation to become emotionally involved with the environment that surrounds us.

The artist’s work derives from several years of experimentation with form and space.

From granite stacks to echoes of industrial debris, these powerful forms speak to the individual in the quietest of ways.

From both harmony and discord, the work investigates the issues and consequences when elements of the urban and rural interact and collide.

'The forms are purely reflections: they are environments for contemplation; where the viewer steps into their own identity and investigates their inner-voice.’
